The role
- Leading the charge on OHS policies, procedures, and programs, making sure we’re in line with legislation.
- Identifying and reducing workplace risks to keep our people safe.
- Providing expert advice to managers and staff, from incident reporting to risk management.
- Running OHS training, inductions, and workshops to build a culture of safety and awareness.
- Investigating incidents and making changes that really matter.
- Supporting return-to-work programs with care and compassion.
- Ensuring pre-employment fit-for-work testing is on track.
- Tracking OHS performance and driving continuous improvement.
What will you bring?
- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.
- Proven experience leading OHS programs in a complex environment.
- Strong understanding of OHS legislation, compliance, and best practices.
- Great communicator – you can influence, advise, and build trust across different teams.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills – you know how to find solutions and take action.
- Ability to work independently while juggling multiple priorities.
- A driver’s license and ability to travel across Dja Dja Wurrung Country.
- Experience working with Aboriginal communities is highly desirable.
