Visit the newly opened Central Springs public reserve in Daylesford and see Dja Dja Wurrung values of caring for Gatjin (water) and Djandak (Country) embedded in the design.
The reserve, located next to Wombat Creek at Lake Daylesford, features stunning brass artworks by Timani Nicholls-Moore as part of a new mineral spring bore and pump area.
New pathways connect the pump area to new BBQ and picnic shelter installed by DJANDAK, a DJAARA enterprise working to revitalise Country for community benefit.
Here are some snaps from the opening, with Dja Dja Wurrung Group CEO Rodney Carter, Federal Member for Ballarat, Catherine King and Hepburn Shire Mayor, Cr Brian Hood.
