New partnership to provide First Nations leadership on Central Victorian environmental watering

DJAARA is proud to announce a new 3-year partnership with the Commonwealth Environmental Water Holder (CEWH) that places Dja Dja Wurrung (Djaara) knowledge and leadership at the centre of environmental water planning across several Central Victorian rivers.

This agreement marks a significant step forward, supporting Dja Dja Wurrung self-determination and combining Traditional Ecological Knowledge with Western science to care for rivers and waterways like the Campaspe, Loddon and Coliban.

We’re walking a new path, shaped by ancient knowledge and grounded in cultural obligation to care for gatjin (water), for the benefit of all.
