DJAARA is seeking a reliable and culturally aware casual bus driver to support our DUMAWUL cultural programs. In this role, you’ll help Cultural Educators bring Djaara stories and connection to Country to the community safely and respectfully.

Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and coordinate buses for programs and events
- Assist passengers and maintain vehicle safety
- Work closely with Cultural Educators and the DUMAWUL Manager
- Uphold cultural safety and respect for Country
Requirements:
- Must have a medium rigid licence and driver accreditation from Safe Transport Victoria
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills, practices and processes including prestart processes
- Ability to work as part of a team environment and / or individually under routine supervision
- Prior experience as a bus driver preferred
- Clean driving record with no accidents or violations
- Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to remain calm and focused in stressful situations with good problem-solving skills
- Willingness to complete relevant employment checks, including – Working with Children Check, Fit for Work assessment & Licence Drug and alcohol screening
