How can you make an impact?

The Community Linguist Consultant will coordinate research and support activities to preserve the Dja Dja Wurrung language through documentation, analysis, and community engagement. You will support the Dictionary Project by providing advice and developing new language resources.

What will you bring?

  • The ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal people. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in linguistics, or a related discipline – PHD preferable
  • Significant experience in administration of data bases, providing project support. 
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Capacity to accept direction and to work as part of a team in a multi-skilled working environment.  
  • Willingness to work in an environment that requires some evening and weekend work.
